Who we are

We are a group of intersectional and relational therapists, which means we show up as a real people, not blank slates. We believe that our intersecting identities — both yours as the client, and ours as your therapist — are integral to am authentic and collaborative therapeutic relationship. We also believe it is critical to connect the personal struggles you come to us with to the larger systems at play in our society and in your daily life.

As body-positive therapists, firmly rooted in the principles of Health at Every Size® (HAES®), we have a true reverence for body diversity. We understand that while some bodies possess more privileges than others, no body is more worthy than another…and no body is a problem to be fixed.

As neuroaffirming therapists, firmly rooted in disability justice, we recognize that brains are wired differently and celebrate the many ways one can be uniquely human. We understand that while neurotypical folks possess more privileges than neurodivergent individuals, we believe Autism, ADHD, and other expressions of neurodivergence, are simply natural variations in human experience — not conditions to be cured.

We believe that you are fundamentally good and deserve to be nourished with food, joyful movement, pleasure, connection, care, and belonging. However, many of our clients, for many different reasons, learned the opposite. The cards were stacked against most of them — folks with marginalized identities in particular — when we consider the various systems of oppression embedded in the fabric of our culture: impossible appearance-ideals, ableism, unrelenting fat phobia, achievement culture, and the multi-billion dollar diet and “wellness” industry that preys on our insecurities and primal need to belong.

What we’ll do together

We create space for you to be truly seen, affirmed, and — with your permission — gently challenged. We’ll actively explore the struggles that brought you to therapy within the context of your lived experiences, and uncover influences, beliefs, and behavioral patterns that no longer work for you. From there we’ll help you access self-compassion, build coping skills, clarify your values, address distressing symptoms, and learn new ways to step into the fullest version of your life.

We believe you deserve to live your life authentically, just as you are. Unmasked and free from negative beliefs about yourself and your body... but we know the path to getting there is not one to be traveled alone.

When we reconnect with our body, it doesn’t just mean we may have more confidence or a better relationship to the mirror. It means we reconnect to the information superhighway that is our body. It means we reconnect to what our bodies are telling us - not just about food or hunger - about everything.
